This is a problem that thousands of people had to deal with and still have to. I have searched hundreds of forums and I still couldn’t find a solution. Before I say anything else, I want to point out that this is an issue that both Windows and Mac users are likely to experience.
So what basically happens? While you’re trying to copy all your pictures and videos from your device’s camera roll to your computer in order to either create a back up of them or you just need to create some additional storage space on your phone this error pops up preventing you to get the task completed.
People have been suggesting to restore your phone, format your computer’s hard disk or even get your phone replaced! Well none of these will ever make the trick. The answer is very simple and everyone can do it. It only takes 2 seconds to be done. No configuring or restoring is required. People always have the tendency to make things much harder than they actually are.
Before I unveil the solution I would like to show you some screenshots so you can be sure of what issue we are talking about.

The moment the error pops up take a look at your phone. You will notice that your phone is locked. This is the reason which causes the error. All you have to do is put your passcode so your device unlocks and re-try the whole copying process.

So all this time all you had to do is simply unlock your device in order to allow your computer access it’s files. Even though the error seems to only happen with certain type of files. Now that you know, you will never have to face the problem again. Happy copying!
